8 - User's Manual
4� Install a database on your server� There are two options--PostgreSQL (8�2 version or above) or SQL
server (
2005 express version or
above)� Please note that PostgreSQL may interrupt an antivirus
program. If you have an antivirus program, please select SQL server as your database engine�
PostgreSQL
a� Select it on the drop-down list and assign a password� ST7501 will by default store the recorded media
le under c:\Recording. If you plan to store the data under another path, click Browse
in the dialog
to change the path� Then click Next to continue�
b� If you do not have PostgreSQL, select the first option to begin the installation�
If you already have
PostgreSQL installed on your computer, select the second option to enter the related information�
c� Wait for the installation process to complete, then click Close to exit the installation program�
